Junior Games Room 8/1996 - 11/1998
Director

My duties include supervising games room staff and children from ages 7-11. I created special events and made a schedule of events and activities weekly for the members. Training staff in the games room and orientating the members on rules was a major part of the job function and was consistent. Orientation would include 3 staff during after school hours and up to 120 members and in the summer 5 staff and up to 200 members at one time in the junior games room. Once a month inventory was taken and ordering parts and games items occurred twice a year. Equipment maintenance was another major part of this job function. Counseling was minimal due to the number of youth and the amount of activity that kept them busy and out of trouble. I did create numerous new events and special events for the games room to keep up interest as well as keeping the members guessing what was next. All of this increased numbers and reduced problems in this area.
